A high octane fiddle-fest that features and international, multi-talented cast performing an eclectic mix of music, song and dance.
In an electrifying tribute to the versatility of the violin, Barrage’s vituoso performers, including percussion, bass and guitar, offer up a diverse fusion of musical styles with incredible energy. Think of it as ‘Stomp’ meets ‘Riverdance’ with an added kick of its own!
The talented international cast performs an eclectic mix of music and dance with something for everyone, from Celtic jigs to Classical, Latin and Bluegrass. While there are plenty of ensemble numbers, Barrage also features the performers as soloists, in trios and as ‘duelling fiddlers’! This elabourately choreographed show included whirling dancing set to infectious rhythms that energize audiences from start to finish.
Innovation is an exciting fiddle group from Ayrshire, made up from top senior and former players of the internationally renowned Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra. Specialising in contemporary arrangements of Celtic music from around the world, the group has in its repertoire music from North America, Spain, Finland, Germany, Ireland and Scotland.
